The Institutional Ethics Committee of S. S. Nijalingappa Medical College and Hanagal Shri Kumareshwar Hospital & Research Center, Bagalkot (IEC-SNMC) is anindependent body with a mission to be a Centre of Excellence in ethical review, fostering a culture of responsible and high-quality biomedical and health research that upholds the dignity, rights, safety, and well-being of all human participants and contributes to societal welfare.
The IEC-SNMC has been registered and licensed to function as an Ethics Committee by Central Drug Standard Control Organization and Department of Health Research, Govt of India. It functions in accordance with the prevailing ICMR Ethical Guidelines, relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., New Drugs and Clinical Trials Rules), and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
