An advanced cadaveric skill lab is a specialized training facility where medical professionals, particularly surgeons, can practice and refine their techniques using human cadavers. These labs are designed to provide hands-on experience with anatomical structures, allowing practitioners to perform various procedures in a controlled, realistic setting.

In the context of advanced training, such labs are equipped to simulate complex surgeries, such as neurovascular, orthopedic, or reconstructive procedures. The use of cadavers offers an invaluable opportunity for learning and perfecting surgical skills, improving knowledge of human anatomy, and understanding the nuances of various medical interventions before performing them on live patients.

Such labs often include high-tech equipment like operating microscopes, virtual reality, or simulators to enhance the learning experience, and they are commonly used by surgeons, residents, or medical students to gain expertise and confidence in advanced techniques.

Such one advanced cadaveric skill lab is established in our college in department of anatomy. The lab has all the infrastructure and facilities to do various cadaveric workshops.

Lab is equipped with six operating microscopes with all instruments required for mastoid surgery training. In this lab microvascular anastomosis, nerve suturing, white matter brain dissection, skull base surgery, plastic surgery flaps , Ophthalmology surgeries can be practiced. Lab has soft embalmed cadavers which are life like high fidelity, best for learning all surgical skills.

We have cadavers with life like brain and CSF circulating in ventricles, best for ventriculoscopy training, Pelvic dissection, transplant surgery training, Knee , Hip replacement surgery training, Various craniotomy and brain surgery
