ABOUT THE BRANCH
The branch was established in September 2019 and is affiliated with the Indian Medical Association, India’s largest voluntary organization of doctors, committed to the promotion of medical education, public health, and ethical practice.
Today, the branch has 107 members including young doctors, faculty members and consultants in Navanagar area of Bagalkot.
Our vision is to integrate young medical students into the medical community so as to promote awareness of medical ethics and responsibilities among budding doctors, encourage participation in national health initiatives and social outreach programs, strengthen professional identify in medical students and provide a bridge between students, faculty and the medical fraternity.
ACTIVITIES & INITIATIVES
The IMA SNMC Navanagar branch has been actively engaged in a wide range of meaningful initiatives. These include organizing health awareness campaigns, public health initiatives, seminars & guest lectures as well as observation of national health days.
The branch regularly conducts medical camps, impactful role plays aimed at educating the community on health, hygiene and safety. It has also stood in solidarity on matters impacting the medical fraternity and the nation, reflecting its commitment to both professional responsibility and social consciousness.
