Eye Donation

Established in 2003 under the visionary leadership of Dr. Veeranna C. Charantimath, Chairman of BVV Sangha, Bagalkote, the Dr. Puttaraj Gawai Eye Donation Society stands as a beacon of hope for North Karnataka. With a resolute mission that no individual in the region should suffer from preventable blindness, the society has transformed eye care access for thousands.

Every month, the society organizes 6 to 8 eye check-up and cataract surgery camps, reaching deep into underserved communities. Through these sustained efforts, between 100 and 120 individuals regain their sight each month, restoring not just vision but dignity and independence to their lives.

Driven by compassion and a commitment to eradicating avoidable blindness, the Dr. Puttaraj Gawai Eye Donation Society continues to illuminate lives, one restored vision at a time.
