They are equipped with tiered seating, projectors, screens, microphones, audio systems, and video conferencing tools to facilitate both in-person and remote learning. The halls also include whiteboards or smartboards for interactive teaching
  3. Digital library: The digital library provides easy access to both physical and digital medical resources. It includes textbooks, peer-reviewed journals, and research papers available online and offline. A well-organized library management system helps students and staff navigate through these resources, supported by high-speed internet for seamless access. The library also houses a collection of subscriptions to medical databases and journals.
  4. General Wards: The department features 8 general wards, 4 for males and 4 for females, designed to accommodate a large number of patients. These wards are equipped with hospital beds, monitors, and emergency equipment and include nurse stations for centralized patient care. Each ward is linked to side labs for basic diagnostic tests and procedure room to perform simple bedside procedures. Each ward is attached with demo room where bedside clinical examination can be taught to students.
  5. ICU (40-Bed Intensive Care Unit): The ICU is equipped to provide advanced care for critically ill patients with 40 beds(20 Medical ICU, 15 Intensive Cardiac Care Unit, 5 Respiratory ICU) and state-of-the-art equipment such as ventilators, defibrillators, ECG machines, and infusion pumps. The ICU also includes a centralized monitoring system, allowing for real-time updates on patient vitals at the nurses' station.
  6. Dialysis Unit: The dialysis unit is equipped with 8 beds and provides life-sustaining treatment for patients with kidney failure. The unit is outfitted with dialysis machines and staffed with nephrologists and trained dialysis technicians to ensure the safe and effective treatment of patients round the clock.
  7. Cath Lab and Coronary ICU: The catheterization lab (Cath Lab) is dedicated to performing minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for heart-related conditions. It is equipped with advanced imaging systems, such as fluoroscopy, to guide interventions like coronaryangiography and angioplasty. CICU is equipped with advanced monitoring systems, life support equipment, and staffed by specialized cardiologists and nurses trained to manage cardiac emergencies. The CICU ensures 24/7 intensive monitoring and treatment for critically ill cardiac patients.

This infrastructure combines educational spaces, medical facilities, and patient care areas to create an environment that supports both clinical excellence and medical training.

FACILITIES AND SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE DEPARTMENT

The department provides a comprehensive range of facilities and services to meet the healthcare needs of patients, including both OPD and IPD services in General Medicine, along with specialized clinics such as the Geriatrics Clinic (first Wednesday of each month), the Asthma Clinic (first Thursday), and the Hypertension Clinic (second Wednesday). The ICU, a 40-bed facility, is equipped to provide advanced care for critically ill patients with 40 beds (20 Medical ICU, 15 Intensive Cardiac Care Unit, 5 Respiratory ICU) and state-of-the-art equipments like ventilators, defibrillators, ECG machines, and infusion pumps, and includes a centralized monitoring system for real-time updates on patient vitals, efficiently being managed by doctors and nursing staff trained in intensive care. Additionally, super-specialty services are available with daily OPD and IPD offerings in Endocrinology, Neurology (with EEG, NCS, and EMG), Nephrology (including dialysis), Gastroenterology (featuring Upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy), Cardiology (with Cath Lab and Coronary ICU), and Pulmonology (Bronchoscopy and sleep studies).
